Nivas was founded by a Nepali woman born and raised in Kathmandu. Nivas means home or sanctuary, and Nivas aims to be a source of pride, comfort and belonging for the Nepali women they work with. They provide training in craft skills (such as felting and knitting) to women from under-served communities in Kathmandu using environmentally low impact production methods to create lasting pieces for your home.

They use very little electricity in their production process and make their felt items from 100% wool sourced from small farms that they've been working with for two generations. Their entire production is vertically integrated, ensuring fair practices and fair pay every step of the way.
