The Shkaakmi'kwe, or Mother Earth Palette, is made from natural earth pigments, which are characterized by their subtle hues and granulation.

100% natural mineral pigment with a binder made of Manitoulin honey and gum arabic. Packed in a palette handmade from reclaimed White Birch.

Colors included: mars violet, harvest wheat, green earth, brown clay and bread

The Mars Violet and Harvest Wheat are quite strong as pigments but the natural green earth is a very soft transparent ghost like color.

Beam Paints is an Indigenous woman owned company based in M'Chigeeng First Nation on Manitoulin Island. Their paints are made from pigments, tree sap, gum arabic, and Manitoulin honey, blended together to create a handmade saturated color that is a joy to paint with.
