Bürstenhaus Redecker was founded in Germany in 1935 by Friedel Redecker, who became blind as a child and found meaningful and profitable work as a brushmaker. He created many of the Redecker products still being sold today by the third generation of the Redecker family. Redecker products are made with natural, renewal materials like sustainably grown and harvested beech wood, plant fibers, animal hair and stainless steel. Almost all Redecker products are still made in Germany, and several of their classic brush designs are made by hand.
