Tawashi Brush

A brush made in the style of a Japanese tawashi, a versatile brush used for scrubbing vegetables and washing dishes. The shape fits comfortably in the palm of your hand and the stiff coconut fibers scrub stubborn dirt without scratching dishes. A wire loop allows you to hang it by the sink to dry.

Bürstenhaus Redecker was founded in Germany in 1935 by Friedel Redecker, who became blind as a child and found meaningful and profitable work as a brushmaker. He created many of the Redecker products still being sold today by the third generation of the Redecker family. Redecker products are made with natural, renewal materials like sustainably grown and harvested beech wood, plant fibers, animal hair and stainless steel. Almost all Redecker products are still made in Germany, and several of their classic brush designs are made by hand.
