Coastal Chai features classic aromatic chai spices and Nilgiri black tea. Additionally, for a Murrelet Herb Farm twist, we’ve added raspberry leaf, anise hyssop and a touch of stevia leaf, offering a unique brew with just a hint of sweetness.

This chai is offered in a coarse grind to preserve the quality of herbs and spices while maintaining ease of brewing and best release of flavors. Delicious brewed with water, your favorite type of milk, or some combination thereof. We find that Coastal Chai is equally delicious served hot or cold.

Packaged in a compostable cellulose sleeve inside a food safe paper tube. If you like, you can empty the inner sleeve into the tube. Refills for paper tubes available directly from Murrelet Herb Farm through their website.

Kelly White, the heart and hands behind Murrelet Herb Farm, finds her inspiration in both the forest and the garden. After a decade of farming vegetables, she felt called to pivot to herbs. In early 2024, Kelly purchased the Communitea brand, formerly owned by North Fork 53. Guided by a deep love of the outdoors and her community, Kelly works to bring quality of flavor and reverence for nature into every cup of tea you drink.

Murrelet Herb Farm sits nestled in between the Pacific Ocean and Coast Range Mountains of Oregon. It’s here on a humble 2-acres that Kelly and her partner grow herbs for their tea blends. They focus on growing plants that need little in the way of fertilizer and water and utilize dry farming techniques (no irrigation) in all of their field beds. While the farm produces most of the herbs for their teas, any ingredients not grown on-site are sourced as ethically and sustainably as possible.
