Deck Pants in Mosaic

The Deck Pants are a PO-EM customer favorite, and for good reason! With an elastic waist, roomy hips and a slightly tapered leg, they are comfortable, casual, and effortlessly stylish.

The Mosaic print is a checkered block, inspired in shape, concept, and color by the mosaics of ancient Italy. Though this print features two color elements and a lot of squares—it reads as neutral and pairs well with a wide variety of pieces.

Fit: The Deck pants offer a relaxed fit with a soft, high-rise elastic waist, roomy hips, and a slight taper down the legs.

PO-EM textiles arrive minimally treated and will soften considerably with washing and wear. It is recommended to wash the garment prior to wearing.

Machine wash cold, gentle cycle. Tumble dry on low or hang dry. Do not dry clean. Do not spot clean as many spot cleaning treatments react with natural dyes and will cause uneven dye intensity. It's better to soak the entire item in a gentle stain remover after testing in an inconspicuous area.

PO-EM uses textiles that are hand-spun and handwoven from natural fibers. Natural dyes are used for color. Traditional methods of artisan design are utilized such as block printing, weaving and resist-dying. Textile works are proudly made in partnership with established cooperatives and workshops in India, Guatemala and Mexico.

All PO-EM pieces are designed by artist and designer Carla Venticinque-Osborn. Carla is a first generation American, with a mother from Colombia and a father from Sicily/Argentina. These cultural roots often influence the subject matter of her designs. Carla founded textile & art studio PO-EM in 2016 as a way to bridge her designs with heritage production techniques and traditions, working to both celebrate and support handmade industries and also to offer a poetic connection to sustainable goods.
