Madison is 5'7", and measures 36" bust, 28" waist, 38" hips. Alex is 5’4” with 28” inseam, and measures 39.5” bust, 32.5” waist, 42.5” hip.

Nettle Studios is a small but mighty slow fashion brand in San Francisco that makes clothes that feel as cool and unique as the people wearing them.

Nettle Studios started with two friends and recent college graduates, Lili and Alex, who designed and sewed all of their pieces while juggling other full time jobs. Today, Alex is the sole owner of Nettle Studios and manages the small team at the brand's San Francisco studio, where many of their pieces are made in-house. She also partners with a small number of local San Francisco manufacturers who share her values and ensure safe working conditions and fair wages.

Nettle is able to devote time and energy to things like perfecting the fit of a garment, sourcing the perfect deadstock fabrics or creating custom-dyed colors and denim washes. What might be a logistical nightmare for big companies that prioritize profit over process is exactly what keeps them connected to their slow fashion roots.
