Meema partners with The New Denim Project to turn discarded denim textile waste from jeans manufacturing into new yarn that is used for their simple and versatile home textiles. This process doesn't use additional dyes and saves 20,000 liters of water for every kilogram of upcycled material they use, compared to using new cotton material. Waste from their own manufacturing is turned into compost, which is used by neighboring coffee growers.
