SHIPPO Notebook

This compact, palm-sized ring bound notebook features a bookmark with a "tail" made of waxed cord. The cover features an unusual combination of raised ink and rough paper. The main pages use light cream "Minuet" paper, which has a soft texture and is pleasant to write on with both pens and pencils. The bookmark is divided into two parts, allowing you to use them according to your needs.

Mizutama means polka dots. Shima shima means stripes. When two friends, Ms. Ueki, a polka dot lover, and Ms. Murakami, a stripes fan, decided to start a stationery business together in 2006, Mizushima was born.

Ms. Murakami owns the beloved Sublo stationery shop in Kichijōji, Tokyo, and Ms. Ueki is a stationery designer who spent years researching unusual paper goods and everyday materials in Thailand. Together, their emphasis is on finding a balance to materials and patterns, nostalgia and texture - that magic combination that gives a sentimental feeling to things that are new but seem familiar.
