Cable TV Astoria Bumper Sticker
$5.00
Description
Yes, it's true! A surprisingly little-known fact about Astoria, Oregon is that it was the first town in the state to have television, and one of the first in the world to have cable!
It all happened right across the street from the Young Building, where Short Wave is located. A man named Ed Parsons, an antennae on top of the Astor Hotel, and coaxial cables strung all around town. Google it--it's a fun story if you're a nerd like me.
A bumper sticker to commemorate it all and spread the word about our claim to fame.
Designed by Ari at Short Wave and printed by Northern Pacific Printing Co. in Astoria, Oregon
