Swedish Dishcloth

Reduce waste with Swedish dishcloths – it’s sustainable, sturdy, and stylish. Use them to wash dishes, wipe up spills, or clean mirrors. I use these to clean just about everything.

Streak-free when used on most surfaces. Air dries fast and doesn’t breed bacteria like a sponge.

Cellulose dishcloth absorbs 20 times its weight and can be washed up to 200 times in the dishwasher or washing machine, then is 100% compostable in home compost or industrial compost.

Rinse, wring out, and allow to air dry between uses.

When dirty enough to be washed put them in the top rack of the dishwasher or wash in the washing machine. Any temperature is fine. Even bleach is okay if you need to use it. These are practically indestructible.

Hang to dry. It won't be the end of the world if they go through the dryer (I do it by accident sometimes), but they will shrink a little and get a wrinkly texture. They still work fine.

Lasse and Lynda Baldauf were inspired to bring the dishcloths that Lasse grew up with during his childhood in Helsinki, Finland to the United States. The patented fabric is only manufactured in Europe, but the couple wanted to print all their cloths as close to their home in Connecticut as possible and partner with another local couple to screen print all their dishcloths with water based inks.
