Soy Wax Candle

Candles inspired by the trails in Portland's Forest Park. Each carefully crafted scent evokes a specific part of the park in a specific season.

These remarkably long-burning wood wick candles emit a soft crackling sound and just the right amount of fragrance. Many candles give me a headache, but these never do! Founder, scent formulator, and primary candle-pourer Kylie Antolini uses only top quality fragrances, 100% soy wax, and responsibly sourced materials.

Scent Notes:
Firelane 1: the smell of campfire on your clothes after a weekend in the woods. Woodsmoke, fir, cedar, pine and balsam.

Rose Garden: captures the fresh, clean, unmistakable scent of real roses in bloom and fresh cut grass

Alder: heavily and richly woody with notes of sandalwood, pine, lemon, palo santo and peppermint

Maple: spicy and autumnal with notes of sweet potato, nutmeg, cinnamon, brown sugar and of course maple syrup

Dogwood: fresh, grassy, citrusy, and floral with notes of orange blossom, lavender, jasmine, green fig and ylang ylang

Arboretum: citrus zest, moss, redwood, fir, pine, guaiacwood, embers

Aspen: pine cones, fir needle, eucalyptus, fresh-cut grass, galbanum, bayberry, soil and cedarwood

Forest Park: both soothing and uplifting with notes of fresh mint leaves, oakmoss, grapefruit, sandalwood, musk, amber and woods

Wildwood: earthy, piney, yet slightly sweet. Notes of fir, citrus, balsam, cedarwood, moss, soil

Leif Erickson: deep and balanced notes of bay leaf, white cedarwood, zesty citrus, oakmoss and tobacco

Birch: evokes walking on a crisp day amongst winter foliage, or being curled up with a good book while it snows outside. Notes of cypress, bayberry, pine, eucalyptus, teakwood, cedar, patchouli and musk

Make sure to burn your candle long enough to allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the container. This is especially important the first time you burn the candle to ensure that the wick gets enough air circulation to maintain a nice flame.

Trim the wick to about 1/4" before you light it. You can just snap off the burnt wick with your fingers or use a candle wick trimmer. If your candle isn't lighting or staying lit, it's probably because the wick needs to be trimmed.

Wildwood Candle Company candles are hand-poured in small batches in Portland, Oregon using natural 100% soy wax, essential oils and high quality naturally derived fragrances. They use naturally processed and sourced wooden wicks from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) that partners with Trees.org. All materials are sourced in the USA.
