Lots of people ask me where to go when they visit town, so I thought I would share the places I recommend to visitors most often.

Coffee & Pastries
Sleeper Coffee: great coffee & matcha. Check out their beautiful new location on Pier 12 with a view of the river.
Gathered Bakeshop: cakes, pastries, grocery staples & sometimes fresh flowers
Blue Scorcher Bakery & Cafe: breakfast pastries, brunch & fresh bread
Broder Strand: finally, we have brunch! Nordic inspired menu & espresso bar.
Lunch
Good Bowl: they make the BEST bowl
Surf 2 Soul: amazing soul food---bring your appetite
Gaetano’s Market & Deli: deli sandwiches & Italian groceries
Breakside Brewery: the crab rolls and fresh oysters are fantastic
Coastal Smash: best burger on the coast
Nekst: great pho & bahn mi. Don't skip the Rather Large Cookie.
Dinner
Fede: incredible Italian food--my #1 spot!
Daphne: farm to table fine dining with a warm atmosphere
South Bay Wild: fresh seafood, mostly caught on the family's own boat
Busu: wonderful seasonal foraged & farm-fresh Japanese food
Fort George Brewery: get a wood fired pizza & enjoy the view from upstairs
Drinks
Brut Wine Bar: amazing international wine selection. Lisa gives the best recs!
Blaylock’s Whiskey Bar: great selection, wonderful cocktails
Obelisk Brewery: unique & painstakingly crafted beer
Bridge & Tunnel: bottle shop & tap room with an international & local beer selection
Dead Man's Isle: a meticulously decorated tiki bar with good drinks and great snacks

Shift + Wheeler: size inclusive clothes & bags made on site. Our buddies!
Chariot Home: a thoughtful selection of home decor with a cozy vibe
Hello Doe: clothes, gifts & home goods in a super cute & cozy space
Cargo: colorful & fun gifts from around the world
Specialty Shops
Lonely Crab Records: excellent record shop
Pat’s Pantry: amazing array of spices, teas & local treats
Cypress: a skate shop with all the essentials, plus secondhand clothing. Right next to Sleeper Coffee!
Jonathon's: reasonably priced estate jewelry and collectibles. The owner & staff are so sweet and helpful. This place is small but very fun to browse!
Godfather's Books: new and used bookstore that has been here as long as I can remember. The last time I went in, I was surprised by some of the excellent used art books they had. Always fun to peruse!
Vintage Stores
Raintown Vintage: huge selection of vintage clothing
Reclamation Marketplace: a vintage treasure trove! I always find something.
Astoria Vintage Hardware: architectural salvage, furniture & more
Phog Bounders: great variety of antiques & vintage decor

Galactix: barcade with a wild interior design
Frite & Scoop: best ice cream for miles
Astoria Column: the view is worth the hike!
